Happy Holidays & Policy Fact Sheets

Reflections on a pivotal 2024 and sharing state policy guides

Dear Spark Community,

Happy Holidays! We hope the last few days of your year are filled with great energy. šŸ’«

As 2024 draws to a close, we're deeply grateful for a big year at Spark: We went from an idea and prototype at the beginning of the year to now supporting a customer base with a combined 50 GW in operating projects and pipelines, and $9B in project financing. Some of you have been leveraging Spark to win massive RFPs, expand into new markets at a fraction of the time and cost, and save trips to town hall meetings.

In one of our customersā€™ words:

Spark AI has transformed how we approach renewable energy projects, combining cutting-edge AI with insightful diligence tools. Itā€™s been a game-changer, speeding up our evaluations and improving site selection accuracy.

Christian Inzunza, Director of Permitting and Development at Dynamic Energy

Hundreds of reports are being run on Spark every month. We power solar, storage, data center, and EV charging projects. But we wouldnā€™t be here without the support of our customers and this community of over 300 SparkNotes followers.

There are many ways to express appreciation, but one way is to disseminate the knowledge we've gained. Today, we are sharing our first comprehensive state-level fact sheet. These guides represent extensive research by our team into community solar regulations, utility programs, and market dynamics. Weā€™ll start by sharing our New York fact sheet. Additional states are available upon requestā€”just reply to this email or contact us at [email protected].

Spark has been working hard to bring the latest and greatest AI software to our industry, launching new features weekly. We recently released something weā€™re really excited about: sentiment analysis, a summary of how counties feel about solar/storage/wind based on hundreds of thousands of recent news and public filings.

We look forward to an even stronger year ahead: Weā€™re already cooking up new releases for Q1 2025, with themes including proactive data and automating work. We canā€™t wait to put these in your hands soon.

Thank you for being part of the ride and, for some of you, helping to shape Sparkā€™s product roadmap. More than ever, weā€™re energized to continue supporting and accelerating this ecosystem in the new year! āš”ļø

As always, we love hearing from you. You can schedule a time with us through our calendar or respond to this email.

Happy New Year!
