Hello from Spark, Post Y Combinator!

Dear Spark community,

It’s been a while since our last update! Until recently, we were building in stealth after graduating from the Y Combinator Winter 2024 batch (check out our launch post). We are honored to be featured as one of YC’s Top AI companies.

Spark is now live with some of the country’s leading developers, with over 1 GW in their pipelines. We raised our seed round from brilliant funds and investors (to be announced). We also brought collaborators from places like Apple to build best-in-class products for the renewables industry.

In this issue of SparkNotes, we’re thrilled to be back with some feature updates and resources.

New Features

AI Development Guides

We scrape, aggregate, and summarize town hall meeting minutes, past projects, permitting and zoning requirements, community solar regulations, and interconnection policies.

We have data coverage in a handful of Tier 1 states for community and utility-scale solar/storage projects. All you have to do is provide a parcel or county and get the data at your fingertips.

Document Extraction

Spark’s document analysis solution allows users to extract data from extensive documents at scale (think PUC filings, land leases, valuation, independent engineering reports, and program guidebooks), reducing research and due diligence time from hours to minutes.

Call To Action

  • We are onboarding a limited number of early-access partners. Book a demo if you’re curious about how AI can scrape and aggregate parcel-level intel to help you de-risk projects sooner and extract insights from massive documents faster.

  • Will you be at RE+ in September? If so, please let us know. We will have a booth and would love to meet up!

  • If you are in New York City, catch a glimpse of Spark on a Times Square billboard this week (location — photo coming in the next issue) 🔦

Thank you!
